The consumer credit

The consumer credit - the special form of the credit granted to its addressees in the form of delays of payment for consumer goods bought by them and household services. At the consumer credit borrowers are physical persons - the population, and creditors - trading enterprises and spheres of services, the banks, special credit institutions. Trade enterprises grant the consumer loan in the form of the goods sold by instalments, and banks (in particular, specialised banks of the consumer credit) - in the form of short-term and intermediate term loans for acquisition of the expensive goods of long using. Consumer goods of long using - cars, furniture, refrigerators, TVs - are the main object of the consumer credit which stimulates solvent demand of the population for these goods.

The percent paid under the consumer credit, usually are very high: in the USA-18 % a year, in France-30 %. In our country a little bit other system of consumer credits which was subdivided on two parts has been generated. Credits of investment character concerned the first: loans for co-operative housing construction, loans for garden building etc., to the second - credits for current consumer needs: instalments of payments for the goods, hire of consumer goods, loans on the security of property in pawnshops.
